April/May Newsletter

The next Arts Alive is scheduled for 11th to 13th October and we are looking for artists to talk to us about any ideas they would like to develop for the event. Our focus for October is less quantity and more quality. We want venues to really get behind the artist or artists and create something special for the three days to attract people that want to be entertained and by art. Please contact us at info@stkildaartscommunity.com

St Kilda Arts Community will be appointing a new Treasurer in the next few days after the position has been vacant for a few months.

This May saw local St Kilda based artist / master printmaker / sculptor Adrian Spurr co-produce this years annual 2019 Fundraiser Art Auction for Sunshine Print Artspace (SPA) and the night was well attended with most art pieces flying under the hammer as SOLD. SPA is a non for profit creative hub, established by Adrian Spurr and his long time colleague Phillip Doggett-Williams. It is an open space providing self-expression and creativity, dedicated to fostering, promoting and facilitating excellence and innovation in artistic practice by providing an access printmaking studio for established and emerging artists and members of our community. Sunshine Print Artspace – SPA is located at the prestigious Fundere Fine Art Foundry, 29 Western Venue, Sunshine.
